How to Plant Maples?

When you're ready to plant your maple tree, find a spot in your yard or garden that gets plenty of sunlight. Maple trees need at least six hours of sunlight each day to thrive. If you live in a colder climate, make sure to choose a spot that's sheltered from the wind. Once you've found the perfect spot, dig a hole that's twice as wide as the tree's root ball. Gently remove the tree from its container and place it in the hole. Backfill the hole with soil and water well.
